In this foundational course, I will explain how the Fall of Adam and Eve shattered original holiness and justice, introducing the triple concupiscence — disordered desires of the senses, covetousness for earthly goods, and self-assertion against reason — that wounds every human heart. Drawing from Genesis, Romans 7, Galatians 5, the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 355-409), the Council of Trent, and St. Thomas Aquinas on the passions, participants will understand why baptism removes original sin’s guilt yet leaves the ongoing battle against the flesh. Not every temptation comes directly from the devil; many arise from our own fallen nature and its inclination to sin. Through clear Catholic teaching and practical spiritual warfare principles, students learn to order their passions under reason and grace, reject moral relativism and secularism, and build their spiritual house on the solid rock of Christ rather than the shifting sand of a fallen world. Special emphasis is placed on allowing Our Blessed Mother to form our minds and hearts as she formed Jesus, so we can stand firm when trials come. This course equips every serious Catholic for authentic spiritual combat and serves as the essential foundation for the entire Holy League Institute program.

To examine the biblical meaning of generational sin and the phrase that the sins of the fathers are "visited upon the children," through Sacred Scripture, Tradition, and the Church Fathers. This course invites participants into a deeper understanding of how sin impacts families across generations, clarifies the difference between guilt and consequence, and reveals how Christ enters into that brokenness to bring healing, freedom, and restoration.
